“OK, buddy” — Korean drama series
Thanks to Charice Pempengco, I’ve been hooked on Korean music, drama serials and movies for almost a year.
Hallyu or the Korean wave has been sweeping the globe and the Philippines is no exception. Korean stars should thank YouTube and their fans for boosting their popularity with subtitled movies and drama series.
I started getting hooked on Korean entertainment with Super Junior, the 13-member boy band that purveys Korean pop music. Then I started watching Korean dramas and movies.
Korean culture is fascinating. I admire Koreans for instilling the value of respect to elders and keeping their traditions intact.
I’m trying to learn the Korean language, which is simpler than learning Chinese. But for now, I’m just satisfied with reading the English subtitles.
